In the beginning...
Rural Roars is about celebrating comedy in the heart of the countryside and we love to bring it straight to your doorstep.
The idea was born out of a desire to create something special in local communities and to prove you don’t need to travel to the city to experience amazing comedy. We're also very lucky that some of the best circuit comedians are eager to play more unique spaces and reach audiences who might not normally get the chance to see live stand-up.

For us, it's about building a space where people can come together, have a laugh, and feel part of something.

Our Dream
Our very first evening was held in April this year at the Wonersh Memorial Hall. It was a complete sell out and apparently, according to attendees, an “absolute triumph”. Neighbours and friends coming together to enjoy a night of first-rate comedy. Our dream had come true! After all, there’s nothing more satisfying to me than to hear a large room of people all laughing together.
