Godalming's first
Comedy Fringe Festival!

​We are very excited to be bringing a Fringe Day to our beautiful town of Godalming for the very first time!

 

Godalming has such a wonderful community, beautiful surroundings and a fantastic range of creative people. We wanted to create an event that celebrates all of that — while giving local and visiting performers the opportunity to showcase their talents and giving our community the chance to enjoy an exciting programme of live entertainment right on our doorstep.

 

On Sunday 18th October 2026, Godalming will become a little bit Fringe as we bring together a curated selection of some of the best Fringe-style shows, with comedy, poetry, cabaret, magic, storytelling, theatre and more, culminating in a fantastic Fundraising Gala Show which will be raising funds for the wonderful Shooting Star Children’s Hospices Charity.

What is a Fringe Day?

 

A Fringe Day is a celebration of creativity, performance and the arts — a place where artists can try something different, new voices can be discovered and audiences can experience a wonderfully varied mix of entertainment, all in one place.

 

Known for being exciting, inclusive and a little bit unpredictable, they can feature comedy, theatre, poetry, cabaret, magic, music, storytelling and much more. The beauty of a Fringe is that there is something for everyone.
