November with Rural Roars Comedy Nights was basically one big, brilliant, belly-laughing blur. From cosy village halls to roaring crowds who definitely did not expect to snort-laugh on a school night, this month had it all. But among all the gigs, one night shone just that little bit brighter…
🌸 A Night of Laughter & Love in Stanway
Our show at Stanway Village Hall, just outside Colchester, wasn’t just a comedy night—it was a full-on community hug disguised as an evening out. Together with the wonderful folks at The New Homes Group, we put on a charity special to raise funds for Little Lifts, an incredible breast cancer charity providing comfort boxes and support for people going through treatment.
From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was absolutely glowing—warm, buzzing, and with that unmistakable “something special is about to happen” feeling.
And it did.
The comedians were on fire, the audience was up for everything, and there were lots of tears of laughter, bursts of applause, and at least three moments where someone definitely did that silent-wheezing-I-can’t-breathe laugh. You know the one.
Most importantly, the night raised money and awareness for a charity whose work means the world to so many. It felt joyful, generous, and genuinely uplifting—a night that reminded everyone why community matters, and why laughter is such a powerful, healing thing.
🎤 A Roaring Month
The rest of our November shows brought the usual Rural Roars magic: comedians who left audiences grinning for days, village halls that echoed with laughter, and communities coming together for nights that felt like pure joy.
But Stanway… Stanway was special.
💖 Here’s to More Joyful Nights
Huge love to everyone who came along, donated, laughed, clapped, cheered, and supported. Massive thanks to The New Homes Group for partnering with us, and the biggest hugs to Little Lifts for the phenomenal work they do.
November, you were a cracker. Onward to more roaring, rural, radiant nights!
